The company was founded in 1962 by Michail Lazaridis in Nea Michaniona, Thessaloniki.
Over the years, the company has shown an upward trend in its industry, managing to establish itself as one of the most significant companies in the retail and wholesale market of fresh and frozen fish and molluscs.
In 2000, the second generation of the company, managed by Lazaros and Dimitrios Lazaridis, contributed to the development of the company both domestically and globally, and renamed the business as “AFOI LAZARIDI OE”.
In 2016, the company moved its headquarters to the Industrial Area of Nea Michaniona, in a new factory unit.
The recently established factory unit adheres to European standards and utilizes industrial machinery that preserves the product’s quality.
Today, The company has set high goals for both local entrepreneurship and international trade, with modern and environmentally friendly proprietary facilities for sorting, processing, packaging, and storing fresh and frozen products.

In 1962, Michael Lazaridis founded "Afoi Lazaridi OE" in Nea Michaniona, Thessaloniki. Through a continuously positive growth, the company has established itself as one of the strong players in the fish market of Nea Michaniona, in the retail and wholesale trade of fresh and frozen fish and seafood.
The management of the company was taken over by Michalis Lazaridis' sons, Lazaros and Dimitris Lazaridis, in the year 2000, renaming the business to AFOI LAZARIDI OE.
